Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Bachoco USA is seeking a Maintenance Automation Technician on 1st Shift for our Heavener, OK location.

Work Schedule: Monday - Saturday (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM)

Relocation Assistance: Yes, this position is eligible for relocation assistance.

Summary: Preserve, repair and maintain the computer‑controlled systems and robotic devices to maximize efficiency. Perform routine diagnostic checks on automated systems, monitor automated systems, isolate problems and perform repairs. Perform service to control systems ranging from electromechanical devices and systems to high‑speed robotics and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). These systems include robotic assembly devices, conveyors, batch mixers, electrical distribution systems, and building automation systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Check daily the parameters of the critical control points: temperature, weight, amperage and pressure, in order to correct deviations in time and form.
  • Execute and coordinate preventive maintenance of electrical, electronic and control equipment, to guarantee the availability and operation of the equipment.
  • Coordinate and supervise the implementation of electrical, electronic and control projects carried out by external personnel (contractors), to improve facilities and processes. Serve as the technical resource for Engineering for new projects involving setup, calibration, new technology, and sanitary design.
  • Coordinate and execute the corrective maintenance of electrical, electronic and control equipment, to reduce wasted time.
  • Coordinate and supervise the performance of preventive and corrective maintenance to substations, to reduce lost time.
  • Comply with all electrical panel organization and cleaning to required standards for personnel and food safety. Adhere to requirements established by the Food Quality and Safety System.
  • Own and understand power distribution and drive timely execution of MCC and transformer PMs.
  • Manage all panel documentation, including breaker labeling and machine schematics.
  • Install, maintain, and replace automation systems at key points in the production process.
  • Troubleshoot non‑functioning components including servos, sensors, and control components.
  • Log equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum functionality.
  • Periodically report to leadership regarding automation capabilities and status.
  • This is a safety‑sensitive position.
Education and/or Experience
  • Requires more than 1 year of experience in this job or related jobs in the plant or elsewhere.
  • Requires 3 years of experience in Industrial Electricity and 3 years of combined experience with instrumentation and programmable controllers, plus 2 years of electrical/electronic training or apprenticeship.
