Automation Technician

Job Openings and Shift Details

• 2 openings for 2nd shift: Monday-Friday, 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM. Fridays are generally an 8-hour shift, with Saturday hours possible from 5 PM – 10/11 PM based on business needs. $2/hour shift differential.
• 1 opening for Weekend Shift: Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM. $4/hour shift differential.

Compensation and Requirements

Pay Range: $22-27/hr, depending on experience.

Must be able to work in the US.

*Requires HS diploma or GED.

Job Summary

Must have strong working knowledge of AC induction motors, controls, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, start-up, and troubleshooting. Demonstrates strong safety leadership and follows safe work practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Programming of PLC/automation controllers, human-machine interfaces, hardware, and related programming languages (Ladder Logic, FBD, SFC, Structured Text).
• Computer/device networking using protocols like Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Modbus, Hart, DH+/485, ASCII.
• Conduct safety equipment inspections.
• Maintain communication with operations.
• Respond to emergency/unplanned work requests promptly.
• Follow safety procedures and good manufacturing practices.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED and completion of a trades training program or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, including knowledge in electricity, motor controls, controls & instrumentation, PLC/software & hardware, pneumatics & hydraulics, mechanical systems, predictive maintenance, maintenance planning, and system troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Certification or degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance or related technical course.
• Strong knowledge of AC induction motors, controls, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, start-up, and troubleshooting.
