Responsibilities

• Log and report issues and provide feedback for long-term machine use and efficiency.
• Attend onsite training as required by the company.
• Assist in developing equipment strategies including spare parts stocking, PM optimization, and PdM.
• Communicate with operators while troubleshooting equipment.
• Support all assigned projects.

Job description

The IEC Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, building, installing, and commissioning various This may include some programming, panel building, trouble shooting and light electrical work. Bonus points for paper industry experience. All employees must act with urgency accountability and flexibility to ensure that the Wescom core values are always followed.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Safely and efficiently troubleshoot electrical systems, including but not limited to:
  • PLC troubleshooting and repair
  • Drive troubleshooting and repair
  • Instrumentation and controls
• Build and troubleshoot logic systems and perform electrical circuit troubleshooting and repair.
• Assist with conduit and wire installation, lighting repair, and troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission, and conveyor systems.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance during routine and extended outages.
• Log and report issues and provide feedback for long-term machine use and efficiency.
• Attend onsite training as required by the company.
• Assist in developing equipment strategies including spare parts stocking, PM (preventative maintenance) optimization, and PdM (predictive maintenance).
• Communicate with operators while troubleshooting equipment.
• Support all assigned projects.
• Be an active safety role model and follow all safety requirements.

Hours

• Expect 40 hours per week
• Start time: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday
