What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot & Optimize: Diagnose and execute complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on high-speed industrial manufacturing lines and robotics.
- Lead & Mentor: Train machine operators on standard operating procedures and provide technical guidance to Tech I team members.
- Collaborate & Innovate: Partner with automation engineers on custom retrofits, cycle-time improvements, and vendor integration to eliminate plant downtime.
- Production Readiness: Calibrate, inspect, and set up continuous manufacturing machinery prior to production runs to guarantee maximum safety and yield.
- System Support: Troubleshoot basic control system issues, log work orders, and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
What You Bring to the Floor
- Experience: 2+ years of hands‑on electromechanical maintenance experience within an active industrial manufacturing environment.
- Technical Toolkit: strong foundation in mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes), industrial electrical controls, schematics, and machine safety standards.
- Software Savvy: Direct experience utilizing a CMMS for preventative maintenance tracking, alongside basic MS Office skills.
- Operational Mindset: Sharp analytical troubleshooting skills, an uncompromising focus on Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety protocols, and a collaborative spirit.
- Physical Capability: Ability to stand/walk for extended shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and navigate industrial ladders, platforms, and tight machinery enclosures.

Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform intermediate troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on automated mailing machinery.
- Pre-Production Setup: Prepare and configure tools and equipment prior to production runs to ensure maximum safety and efficiency.
- Collaboration & Downtime Reduction: Work alongside vendors, internal teams, and automation engineers on in‑house projects to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, and minimize downtime.
- Training & Mentorship: Train operations employees on the proper use and basic maintenance of automation machines. Provide ongoing guidance and technical training to Automation Tech I staff.
- Technical Support & Documentation: Assist in updating technical manuals and programs for automated equipment, and provide Level 1 support for the Automation Helpdesk.
- Reporting: Generate and submit maintenance reports and actively participate in weekly technical calls.
