Johnson & Johnson is recruiting an Engineering Technician IV to be based on site in Jacksonville, FL. The role leads automation and equipment uptime, with direct impact on new installations and upgrades across generations of production equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; degree or certifications a plus.
• Six years of relevant work experience with proven problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with industrial manufacturing and PLC troubleshooting (Rockwell/Siemens) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fault-find and repair sophisticated automation equipment.
• Develop strong problem-solving proficiencies in lens manufacturing.
• Learn and document control systems across the plant (PLCs, vision systems, lasers, barcodes, RFID, robots).
• Publish troubleshooting articles for complex problems.
• Train on-shift personnel to raise technical skills and knowledge.
• Serve as first point of contact for automation software line-down issues.
