Job summary

Top Prospect Group seeks an Manager Automation Systems to lead design and implementation of automation solutions at our Milford, CT facility. You will supervise engineering and field service teams, coordinate projects, and align designs with customer specs and cost targets.

This role requires a bachelor’s in engineering, 7+ years in mechanical systems, CAD/SolidWorks proficiency, and CRM familiarity (Salesforce). Occasional travel and a strong analytical mindset are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
7+ years of experience in the analysis and design of mechanical systems.
Experience managing a technical or engineering team.
Proficiency with CAD software; SolidWorks experience preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with CRM and sales applications, such as Salesforce.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
PLC programming knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

Research, plan, and design automation systems and machinery.
Direct engineering and field service activities to install and optimize systems.
Develop customer design proposals and specifications.
Collaborate with customers on applications engineering and technical sales.
Oversee purchasing, manufacturing, final assembly, and installation.
Ensure conformance to designs, quality, and budget.
Travel to trade shows and customer visits as needed.
