Job summary

Unisys is seeking an Automation Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to transform repetitive manual work into reliable automation across Windows, Linux, storage and backup domains.

You will partner with Steady State teams to surface opportunities via interviews and ServiceNow data, then codify best practices and deploy via Ansible, Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD, while managing secrets with Vault and artifacts with Artifactory.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years in automation, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on with Ansible, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, Vault.
• Experience analyzing ITSM ticket data to surface automation.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux systems administration.
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell).

Responsibilities

• Identify recurring manual tasks from ServiceNow and ticket data.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automation deployment.
• Manage secrets with HashiCorp Vault.
• Leverage Artifactory to secure automation artifacts.
• Collaborate with Steady State and cross-functional teams.
• Document playbooks and pipeline configurations.
• Track automation impact and reduce manual ticket volume.
