Hartford Electric Supply Company is seeking an entry-level Industrial Automation Product Specialist I to join our Automation team in Connecticut. You will work with customers, the sales team, and Rockwell Automation to support Allen‑Bradley controls and sensors while gaining hands‑on experience.

You’ll develop both technical and customer‑facing sales skills through training and hands‑on exposure, with opportunities to grow into advanced product specialist roles.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles.
• 1+ years of technical sales support experience preferred; internship and co‑op in industrial automation encouraged.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical customers.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Interest in industrial automation and developing technical expertise.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Identify and reference industrial automation components across product lines.
• Evaluate customer requirements and recommend technical solutions.
• Read electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Provide pre‑sales consultations and BOM development support
• Deliver product demonstrations, trainings, and technical presentations
• Assist with technical proposals and solution recommendations
• Participate in customer meetings and site visits
• Provide troubleshooting guidance as a technical resource
• Collaborate with Rockwell Automation and internal engineering resources
