Job summary

SMC in San Jose seeks a Sales Engineer to represent the company in the San Jose territory, promoting automation solutions and building strong customer relationships. The role requires travel within the region and the ability to drive growth across assigned accounts.

You will use CRM to document activities, support training, and work with the Branch Manager to achieve KPIs. A background in pneumatic components and CRM proficiency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of the SMC sales training program or equivalent sales and industry experience.
• Proficient understanding of pneumatic components and their application.
• Thorough knowledge of SMC policies and product line.
• Clean driving record.
• CRM experience and ability to learn new programs and tools.

Responsibilities

• Grow profitability by proactively managing targeted accounts.
• Meet or exceed annual growth expectations.
• Present and sell core and new products to customers.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned accounts and drive growth.
• Develop relationships with key decision-makers and expand within accounts.
• Document calls, projects, opportunities in CRM and forecast as needed.
• Develop customer action plans and execute territory forecasts.
