Job summary

Micron Technology, a world leader in memory and storage solutions, seeks a Software Development Engineer to design, develop, test, maintain, and support software across the development lifecycle at the Boise site.

You will collaborate across teams to automate tools, gather requirements for automation systems in 300mm fabs globally, and provide 24x7 support; strong programming, SDLC, and Agile experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of enterprise software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with object-oriented programming, SDLC practices, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience using AI tools and technologies.
• Software testing experience within manufacturing or automation environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tool automation and host enhancements with automation developers and domain experts.
• Gather, prioritize, and document requirements for automation systems across 300mm fabs globally.
• Test and support manufacturing and automation software releases, including upgrades and resiliency improvements.
• Fix and resolve automation and software issues in a daily support role, including 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Maintain user documentation and provide regular project status reporting to management.
