Job summary
Micron Technology is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, develop, test, maintain, and support software across Micron and third-party applications. You will collaborate across development teams, document requirements, and contribute to quality improvements that deliver business value with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities include coordinating automation efforts, supporting 300mm fabs worldwide, and maintaining documentation while on 24x7 on-call rotations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of enterprise software development experience.
- Hands-on object-oriented programming and SDLC practices.
- Experience with AI tools and technologies.
- Software testing experience in manufacturing or automation environments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate tool automation and host enhancements with automation developers and domain experts to deliver projects on schedule.
- Gather, prioritize, and document requirements for new automation systems across 300mm fabs globally.
- Test and support manufacturing and automation software releases, including upgrades and resiliency improvements.
- Fix and resolve automation and software issues in a daily support role, including 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Maintain user documentation and provide regular project status reporting to management.
