Job summary

Makino is seeking an Automation Simulation Engineer in Mason, OH. You will build virtual models and simulations of automated manufacturing systems to help visualize concepts, assess performance, and support transitions from proposal to production.

The role accommodates recent graduates or 1–2 years of experience with 3D CAD, Python, and mechatronics know-how, working with SolidWorks, Inventor, and Creo. Competitive benefits and a path for career growth are offered.

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics or related engineering field.
Recent graduate or 1–2 years of related engineering experience.
Experience from internships, capstones, or lab work is valued.

Responsibilities

Create 2D and 3D simulations of automated manufacturing systems.
Develop time-based kinematic simulations to show system operation.
Perform throughput and cycle time analyses for proposed solutions.
Design project-specific automation components using CAD software.
Configure and evaluate automation concepts and support proposals with simulations.
Collaborate with teams to transition concepts into production.
