Job summary

Amcor is seeking an Automation Setup Technician in Evansville, IN, to lead the automation setup team and ensure smooth mold-change transitions. You will tune, install, and validate automation equipment, coordinate with maintenance, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards across the production area.

The role requires reliable hands-on skills, willingness to participate in apprenticeship opportunities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong organizational skills and dependability.
• Willingness to enter apprenticeship as openings develop.
• Ability to use basic tools.
• Ability to push/pull loads as part of a team.
• Able to work independently and with others.
• Forklift operation capability.
• Comfort with ladders and overhead work.

Responsibilities

• First layer of leadership in the automation setup team.
• Tune automation equipment after mold changes.
• Lead training for new automation set up staff.
• Remove, install and set up automation equipment for mold changes.
• Check equipment for proper operation before production startup.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of equipment storage areas and tools.
• Assist with preventive maintenance tasks as needed.
