Job summary
Lincoln Electric Automation in Fort Loramie, OH is seeking an Engineering Technician to program robots, debug systems, and lead automation startups for complex robotic manufacturing lines prior to customer runoff.
The role serves as a key technical resource for robotic integration, controls troubleshooting, and system optimization, ensuring equipment meets performance, quality, and customer requirements before deployment. Travel to customer sites is approximately 25–50%.
Qualifications
- Associate/technical degree in Electrical Tech, Robotics, Mechatronics, or Automation.
- Minimum 3 years in industrial automation, robotics, or machine integration.
- Experience programming and troubleshooting robots (FANUC, Yaskawa, ABB, OTC, Nachi).
- Working knowledge of PLCs/HMIs (Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, or Bosch).
- Willingness to travel 25–50% for startup and training.
Responsibilities
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial robots and systems.
- Debug automated systems prior to shipment.
- Support startup, commissioning, and customer acceptance activities.
- Maintain accurate electrical schematics and documentation.
- Mentor junior technicians and coordinate technical activities.
- Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and safety standards.
