Job summary
Cindavi is seeking an Automation & Robotics Specialist for a high-volume automotive plant in Warren, Michigan. You will take partially developed automation, bring it to full plant readiness, optimize performance, and hand off to production support teams.
The role requires PLC/HMI controls know-how, robotics programming, and experience in automotive manufacturing, with Rockwell/FANUC or equivalent vendor experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
- Strong ladder-logic programming and controls fundamentals.
- Hands-on robotics programming, integration, optimization, or troubleshooting experience.
- Experience in automotive/high-volume manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
- Launch, integrate, commission, and stabilize automated manufacturing equipment.
- Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, vision systems, conveyance, motion, safety systems, and torque tools.
- Improve cycle time, throughput, quality, uptime, robot paths, sequencing, alarms, interlocks, and recovery routines.
- Apply structured root-cause analysis to eliminate repeat failures and deliver sustainable corrective actions.
- Partner with engineering, maintenance, production, suppliers, and integrators, then train sustainment teams and complete a reliable handoff.
