Job summary

Pentair is seeking an Automation & Robotics Maintenance Specialist for 1st shift in Moorpark, CA. You will install, diagnose, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment, focusing on robotic and automation systems used in injection molding.

You will mentorJunior Techs and apply preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Qualifications include hands-on experience with Wittmann and Fanuc robotics, strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, PLCs, hydraulics, and reading AutoCAD drawings.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting Wittmann linear robots.
• Experience with Fanuc 6-axis robotic systems in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC electricity, high-voltage panels, motors, drives.
• Experience with PLCs, automation controls, robotics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Background supporting injection molding operations and automated equipment.
• Familiarity with manual/CNC machining, welding, fabrication.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
• Proven ability to train and mentor technicians; contribute to improvements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Wittmann linear robots and Fanuc 6-axis robotics for injection molding.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and mechatronic systems.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on robotic and automation equipment.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems, high-voltage panels, motors, drives, sensors, and controls.
• Use machining, fabrication, and welding to repair or improve equipment.
• Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, Hydraulic/Pneumatic diagrams, AutoCAD drawings.
• Train and mentor other maintenance technicians on robotic systems and best practices.

We have an opportunity for an Automation & Robotics Maintenance Specialist to join our Moorpark, CA, team.You will use your knowledge, skills, and effort to safely install, inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. You will utilize preventative maintenance processes on all production equipment to maintain minimal interruptions to production. In addition, you will work with limited supervision and assist with the training and development of Junior Techs.

You will:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Wittmann linear robots, Fanuc 6-axis robots, and associated automation systems supporting injection molding operations.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and mechatronic systems to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on robotic, automation, and injection molding equipment.
• Troubleshoot and maintain AC/DC electrical systems, high-voltage panels, motors, drives, sensors, controls, and automation networks.
• Utilize machining, fabrication, and welding skills to repair, modify, and improve automation equipment and tooling.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, and AutoCAD drawings.
• Train and mentor other maintenance technicians on robotic systems, troubleshooting methods, and maintenance best practices.

Key Qualifications:

• Hands‑on experience maintaining and troubleshooting Wittmann linear robots and Fanuc 6‑axis robotic systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC electricity, high‑voltage panels, motors, drives, controls, and industrial electrical systems; Electrician's license preferred.
• Experience with PLCs, automation controls, robotics, mechatronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Background supporting injection molding operations and automated production equipment.
• Experience with manual machining, CNC machining, machinist apprenticeship programs, welding, and fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, hydraulic prints, and AutoCAD drawings.
• Proven ability to train, mentor, and develop technicians and operators while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Full ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, twist at the waist, bend, lift (up to 50 pounds), and reach with hands and arms.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Steel‑toed footwear is required.

Compensation:

• The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is $34.00+/hour, DOE. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.

Shift:

• 1st Shift: either 6am-2:40pm, 7am-3:40pm, or 8am-4:40pm (based on team needs)
• OT and weekends required as needed
