Job summary

Pentair in Moorpark, CA is seeking an Injection Molding Maintenance Specialist for 1st shift. You will install, inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment with a focus on minimizing downtime.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems, read schematics and AutoCAD prints, and lead training for junior technicians to improve reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience with Milacron injection molding machines up to 1,500 tons.
• Strong electrical background including AC/DC systems and high-voltage panels.
• Proficient with PLCs, automation controls, hydraulics and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Milacron injection molding machines and related equipment.
• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Repair AC/DC electrical systems, motors, drives, PLCs, and controls.
• Complete machining, fabrication, and welding to support repairs.
• Read electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and AutoCAD drawings.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff and machine operators.

Injection Molding Maintenance Specialist, 1st Shift – Moorpark, CA

We have an opportunity for an Injection Molding Maintenance Specialist to join our Moorpark, CA team. You will use your knowledge, skills, and effort to safely install, inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. You will utilize preventative maintenance processes on all production equipment to maintain minimal interruptions to production. In addition, you will work with limited supervision and assist with the training and development of Junior Techs.

You Will

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Milacron injection molding machines up to 1,500 tons and related production equipment.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical systems, high-voltage panels, motors, drives, PLCs, and automation controls.
• Complete machining, fabrication, and welding projects to support equipment repairs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, mechanical drawings, and AutoCAD prints.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability, safety, and uptime.
• Train and mentor maintenance personnel and machine operators on troubleshooting, equipment operation, and maintenance best practices.

Key Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting Milacron injection molding machines up to 1,500 tons.
• Strong electrical background, including AC/DC electricity, high-voltage panel work, motors, drives, and controls; Electrician's license preferred.
• Experience with PLCs, automation controls, mechatronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Hands-on experience with manual machining, CNC machining, or a machinist apprenticeship.
• Welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and AutoCAD drawings.
• Proven ability to train, mentor, and develop technicians and operators.
• Full ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, twist at the waist, bend, lift (up to 50 pounds), and reach with hands and arms.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Steel-toed footwear is required.

Compensation

• The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is $33.00+/hour, DOE. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.

Shift

• 1st Shift: either 6am-2:40pm, 7am-3:40pm, or 8am-4:40pm (based on team needs)
• OT and weekends required as needed
