Job summary
Houston Dose seeks an experienced engineer to lead introduction (NPI), debugging, and sustaining of complex automated manufacturing systems. The role focuses on electrical and software stability of production equipment, including robotics, PLCs, AOI systems, and AGVs.
You will troubleshoot controls issues and introduce the latest technology to minimize downtime and optimize cycle time, with a strong emphasis on robotics and automation in a fast-paced facility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing.
- Experience in robotics, AGV, AOI; AI in automation preferred.
- Proficient in Mitsubishi/Omron/Siemens PLC programming and commissioning.
- Able to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Lead introduction (NPI), debugging, and sustaining of complex automated manufacturing systems.
- Analyze causes of failures using professional analysis techniques to determine root causes.
- Participate in design for manufacturability (DFM) and equipment evaluation/DOE verification.
- Push equipment setup/installation/debug at NPI and promote resolution of failures.
- Establish and manage EQ maintenance plans and technician training.
