Job summary

Empower is seeking an Engineer Automation Quality to design, develop, and maintain automated tests for UI, API and data pipelines. You will work with cross-functional teams to improve coverage, validate ETL data, and monitor AWS batch jobs.

The role emphasizes collaboration, debugging, and mentoring junior automation engineers while helping ensure software meets business and technical requirements.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of testing experience with 1–2 years in automation.
• Proficiency in Java programming concepts and UI/API testing.
• Experience with Selenium, Karate, JUnit, TestNG and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and data/ETL validations.
• Execute test cases and report results.
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA.
• Create clear test documentation using Zephyr.
• Collaborate with engineering to understand functionality and requirements.
• Update scripts to align with app changes using Selenium WebDriver in IntelliJ.
• Perform manual testing when needed.
• Validate ETL data and AWS batch jobs (S3, EMR, Step Function, Lambda).
