Job summary

Empower Retirement is seeking an Engineer Automation Quality to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and data/ETL validations. You will work with cross‑functional teams to support quality assurance strategies and ensure applications meet business and technical requirements.

You should have 2–4 years of testing experience with 1–2 years in automation, strong Java skills, and hands‑on experience with Selenium, Karate, JUnit, and TestNG.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of testing experience with 1–2 years in automation
• Proficiency in Java programming language core concepts
• Experience with UI and API functional testing

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and data/ETL validation
• Execute automated tests and report results
• Identify and track defects using Jira
• Create and maintain test documentation using Zephyr
• Collaborate with engineering to understand requirements and testing needs
• Update scripts in response to application changes (Selenium WebDriver in IntelliJ)
• Provide guidance to junior automation engineers
• Perform manual testing when needed
• Validate ETL tables and data pipelines with SQL
• Test AWS batch jobs (EMR, Step Functions, Lambda) and verify S3/Redshift outputs
