Job summary

The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is seeking a Manager, Quality Engineering & Release to build and own our automated quality engineering capability and the release gate that capability makes possible.

This is a hands‑on build role for an experienced quality engineering professional who can establish automated testing from the ground up, define risk‑based quality standards, and ensure releases meet clear readiness criteria before deployment.

Qualifications

• Experience building a test automation practice from scratch.
• Experience owning release management in a sprint-based environment.
• Ability to make go/no-go release decisions with accountability.
• Hands-on testing framework design and ongoing maintenance.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own automated test framework across projects.
• Define risk-based testing coverage and determine automation scope.
• Own definition of done, sprint exit criteria, and regression strategy.
• Drive release readiness, change control, and post-release verification.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Scrum Master to ensure quality is considered throughout the lifecycle.
