Job summary

aFit Staffing is seeking a QE Engineer – Automation in Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote). The contract role starts January 2027 for a minimum of one year, focusing on building and modernizing test automation frameworks.

Ideal candidates have hands-on Selenium automation, API testing with Postman, and CI/CD integration experience, plus interest in migrating legacy scripts to Playwright-based frameworks to boost test coverage and software quality.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with test automation development and frameworks.
• Strong experience with Selenium automation scripts.
• Experience migrating automation to Playwright.
• API testing using Postman.
• CI/CD pipeline integration knowledge.
• Relational databases experience, Oracle preferred.
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms (Salesforce, Informatica).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement test automation strategies and frameworks.
• Write, maintain, and debug Selenium-based automation scripts.
• Integrate automated testing solutions into DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and maintain test harnesses for API testing using Postman.
• Support migration of Selenium scripts to Playwright-based framework.
• Collaborate with dev and QE teams to improve testing processes.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve automation issues.
• Support functional, integration, and regression testing as needed.
