Job summary

Core AI Consulting Inc. seeks an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join on-site in Phoenix.

You will design, develop, and maintain automated test suites covering UI, API, and backend testing, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure scalable, reliable cloud-based applications. You will build robust automation frameworks with Playwright and Karate, implement UI regression and end-to-end tests, and drive REST API testing while executing performance tests.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of QA and test automation experience.
• 2+ years hands-on with Playwright and Karate.
• Strong UI automation framework development with Playwright.
• API automation testing with Karate.
• Testing RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend apps.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies, automation best practices, and Agile/Scrum.
• Experience CI/CD integration using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Experience with performance/load testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud environments and cloud-native apps.
• SQL for backend validation and test data verification.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Playwright and Karate.
• Develop automated UI regression, functional, and end-to-end test suites.
• Build and execute API automation tests for RESTful services.
• Perform backend validation using SQL queries and database testing techniques.
• Execute performance and load testing to validate application scalability.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects while collaborating with development teams.
• Participate in test planning, test strategy, and Agile ceremonies.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks, testing processes, and quality standards.
