Job summary

Cidroy Infotech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer to own automation strategy, test design, and end-to-end quality across complex web applications and integrations. You will build scalable automation frameworks and expand test coverage, partnering with developers to raise product quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional QA/testing experience with strong automation background.
• Design and develop automation frameworks, expand test coverage, validate complex workflows.
• Hands-on automation with modern frameworks/tools: Selenium WebDriver/Playwright/Cypress/Appium.
• Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
• Experience in API automation using Postman, RestAssured, Pytest, Playwright API, etc.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated test execution (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Good understanding of Git/version control and STLC.

Senior Automation QA Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer to take ownership of automation, quality engineering, and test strategy across complex web-based applications and integrations.

The role will focus on designing and building robust automation frameworks, expanding automated test coverage, validating complex business workflows, and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

We are looking for someone who can build and improve QA systems, rather than simply execute predefined test cases. The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on automation experience, excellent debugging skills, and the ability to work closely with developers and technical teams to improve overall product quality.

Experience in E-Commerce, B2B platforms, marketplaces, or other complex transactional applications will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and maintainable automation test frameworks.

• Build automated test suites for web applications, backend workflows, and APIs.

• Develop automation for complex end-to-end business workflows and integrations.

• Define and improve automation strategy, test coverage, and QA processes.

• Identify opportunities to replace repetitive manual testing with effective automation.

• Collaborate closely with developers, Business Analysts, and other QA engineers throughout the development lifecycle.

• Review requirements and technical specifications to identify potential quality risks early in the development process.

• Design effective test scenarios covering functional, integration, edge‑case, and failure scenarios.

• Maintain test cases, automation documentation, test reports, and QA metrics.

• Contribute to improving testability, release quality, and overall engineering practices.

• Identify application stability and performance risks and work with the technical team to address them.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional QA/testing experience, with significant hands‑on experience in automation.

• Strong experience in test automation framework design and development.

• Hands‑on experience with one or more modern automation frameworks/tools such as:

  • Selenium WebDriver

  • Playwright

  • Cypress

  • Appium or equivalent automation tools

• Strong programming/scripting skills in at least one of:

  • Java

  • JavaScript / TypeScript

  • Python

• Strong experience in API automation and testing using tools/frameworks such as Postman, RestAssured, Pytest, Playwright API testing, or equivalent.

• Experience designing and maintaining end‑to‑end automated test suites.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD and automated test execution, using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent.

• Good understanding of Git and version‑control workflows.

• Strong understanding of STLC, test design techniques, defect lifecycle, and QA processes.

• Experience with database validation/testing, preferably MySQL or similar relational databases.

• Experience setting up automation frameworks from scratch.

• Experience mentoring or leading other QA engineers.
