Job summary

Axis Automation is seeking a career-oriented Project Manager to lead automation projects from kickoff to closure, ensuring schedule, cost, and scope objectives are met. The role requires collaboration with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing, and travel up to 20% of the time.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent project management experience, with 4+ years in automation or engineering services and 2+ years in project management with budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or significant experience managing engineering projects.
• 4+ years of automation or engineering services experience.
• 2+ years of project management with budget responsibility.
• Experience with tool design and welding applications preferred.
• Understanding of project management best practices and processes.
• Financial and analytical aptitude.
• Highly organized with ability to balance multiple tasks.
• Willingness to travel up to 10–20% annually.

Responsibilities

• Follow active equipment projects from customer order through completion.
• Assess project issues and identify solutions to meet customer, quality and cost goals.
• Review project requirements and identify scope changes.
• Coordinate resources to meet milestones and engage cross functional teams.
• Interact with Engineering, Supply Chain, PM and Manufacturing to solicit input for proposals.
• Lead, coach and motivate project team members.
• Prepare and communicate project status meetings and escalate critical issues.
• Manage customer relationships and requests in real time across Axis departments.
• Support other company-wide projects as needed and develop PM tools/best practices.
• Complete lessons learned evaluations to improve future projects.
• Travel to milestones, meet customers and support proposals.
