Job summary

Motion Control in Victor, NY, is seeking a Project Engineer I to oversee all mechanical engineering aspects from concept to completion. You will lead a team of engineers to meet project scope, budget, schedule, and performance targets, delivering designs that run from concept through to validated systems on site.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, 5 years of automated assembly equipment design experience, and proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and EPDM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience in designing automated assembly equipment.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of GD&T and EPDM.
• Experience with automated assembly and test machines.

Responsibilities

• Researches and analyzes data from customer requests and specifications to determine feasibility.
• Concept layout of complete system and efficient design reuse.
• Develop plan to meet project schedule and budget, providing ETC and dates.
• Create detailed fabrication, assembly drawings, and a complete Bill of Materials.
• Support fabrication, assembly, debug, and validation to meet requirements.
