Actalent in Jefferson City, MO, is seeking a Controls Engineer / Automation Project Engineer for a Fortune 500 manufacturer in mid-Missouri. This role develops and deploys automation across a new multi-story facility, featuring robotics, smart manufacturing technologies, automated packaging systems, and large-scale capital projects that will shape the site for years.
You'll split time between design and shop floor, leading PLC programming, robotics integration, equipment startup, and process
Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial automation experience.
- Proficient PLC programming from scratch.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell controls.
- Robotics and automation in manufacturing environments.
- HMI development and troubleshooting.
- Electrical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Ability to read electrical schematics/drawings.
- Experience supporting capital projects and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Lead PLC programming, controls development, and troubleshooting.
- Robotics integration and automation upgrades.
