Job summary
Tulsa Welding School - Dallas is seeking an Automation and Process Controls Maintenance Instructor to deliver StrataTech pre-developed curriculum to technicians seeking upskilling in industrial automation, PLC programming, and fluid power. The role combines classroom and hands-on lab delivery in a client-facing environment.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hands-on experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred), VFDs, sensors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and hold relevant safety
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years of hands-on field experience in the assigned technical discipline within the past 10 years.
- Experience with PLC systems — Allen-Bradley MicroLogix or ControlLogix preferred.
- Working knowledge of VFD systems, motor controls, and industrial sensor wiring.
Responsibilities
- Deliver program curriculum in classroom and lab with technical accuracy.
- Follow curriculum design; avoid unauthorized modifications.
- Adapt delivery to adult learners with varying experience.
- Prepare for each session; maintain attendance and progress records.
- Identify and assist struggling students early.
- Set up and manage the lab environment; ensure safety and OSHA compliance.
- Maintain lab in full operational condition after each cohort.
