Job summary

Boston Conveyor & Automation (BCA), part of the Mpac Group, seeks a Project Manager to lead automation and material handling projects for food manufacturing, life sciences, and general manufacturing clients.

You will manage concepts through planning, execution, FAT/SAT, and handover, ensuring on-time delivery, budget control, and high quality. Travel about 20% is expected, with cross-functional collaboration across engineering, supply chain, and finance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 4 years' experience in a customer-facing project management role.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
Understanding of workplace and project safety standards.
Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Leading multiple automation and material handling projects simultaneously.
Acting as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Developing and communicating project schedules, timelines, and milestones.
Managing project budgets, risks, and change orders.
Coordinating resources across engineering, supply chain, finance, and leadership teams.
Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting.
Supporting FAT and SAT activities.
Managing project closeout activities and punch lists.
Building strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Conducting project reviews and implementing best practices for future success.
