Job summary

WhiteWater Midstream, LLC. is seeking an experienced Automation & Operations Technician based in Midland to operate, maintain, and optimize gas and NGL pipelines and compressor stations. You will support PLC/RTU/HMI systems, troubleshoot control software, and coordinate with vendors and contractors to improve reliability and efficiency.

The role requires a technical degree, 5+ years in PLC troubleshooting, and strong teamwork. Occasional travel and on-call response are expected.

Qualifications

Technical degree or associate in instrumentation or related field.
5+ years troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLC software platforms.
Familiar with AB Compact Logic, AB Control Logic and Fisher ROC.
Must communicate via cellular, satellite, Modbus and SCADA systems.
Valid driver’s license and insurability.
Basic knowledge of centrifugal pumps, seals and electric motors.
Ability to program/config automation tech: sensors, PID, data comms.
Knowledge of pipeline processes and equipment preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic math.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain and repair engines, pumps, compressors, and related equipment.
Test and optimize processes; provide PLC/RTU/HMI support.
Oversee 3rd party contractor work on automation systems.
Perform line patrols, inspections, and compliance tasks.
Review bids and documentation; manage design-to-implementation.
Ensure documentation and safety procedures are followed.
