Henry Ford Health, headquartered in Detroit, MI, is seeking a Pharmacy Automation Technician to support and optimize automated dispensing systems across the health system. The role emphasizes collaboration with pharmacy, nursing and IT to improve inventory accuracy, reduce stockouts and streamline workflows.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma/GED, at least two years as a pharmacy technician, and experience with automated dispensing systems.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or GED.
Requires at least two years of inpatient pharmacy technician experience or two years as a pharmacy technician in other settings.
Two years of experience with automated dispensing systems preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication; availability for on-call support.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
PC skills as needed to perform job functions.
Valid State of MI pharmacy technician licensure.

Responsibilities

Maintain the functional and operational integrity of automated dispensing systems.
Support automation implementations with vendors and IT partners.
Coordinate with Nursing Management to monitor/ communicate medication discrepancies and support resolution.
Run, monitor, and interpret automation and controlled substance reports to identify trends.
Participate on project teams to improve workflows, efficiency and service levels.
Provide core pharmacy technician services as needed.
