Job summary

United States Cold Storage, Inc. is seeking an Automation Technician to support and optimize the company’s warehouse automation stack. You will work with WMS and WCS systems, PLCs, and automated material handling equipment to keep operations safe, efficient, and reliable.

The role requires the ability to read and follow SOPs, collaborate with vendors, and perform preventive maintenance. This position is full-time and involves lifting, standing, and working in cold environments.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience: Some technical training preferred.
• Physical requirements include bending and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of WMS, WCS and IT integration to support operations.
• Follow automated processes to support warehousing operations.
• Knowledge to troubleshoot Electric Mechanical Controls.
• Optimize existing automated material handling equipment.
• Optimize/troubleshoot and understand PLC programs.
• Work closely with vendors to investigate/integrate solutions.
• Read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Monitor WCS interface for faults and clear machine faults promptly.
