Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in Texas is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform a wide range of tasks in an industrial manufacturing setting. You will ensure equipment operates safely, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot malfunctions to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, completion of an apprenticeship or millwright training, and strong skills in automation, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary education preferred.
• Completion of apprenticeship program or millwright training.
• Strong technical skills in automation, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with automation systems, electrical components, mechanical equipment, and hydraulic systems
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, utilizing knowledge of automation, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic principles
• Install, configure, and calibrate automation systems, including PLCs, sensors, actuators, and other control devices
• Document maintenance activities, including repairs and inspections, using CMMS or other tools
• Stay updated with advancements in automation technology through ongoing training
• Collaborate with production personnel to address maintenance issues promptly
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability
