Job summary

Veritiv Corporation in California seeks a maintenance mechanic to keep corrugator machinery and conveyors running smoothly. You will troubleshoot high-speed equipment, repair electrical systems, and design PLC-based automation for manufacturing lines.

Responsibilities include integrating HMI/SCADA, configuring Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and other networks, performing commissioning, and ensuring safety standards. Team collaboration and documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining high-speed manufacturing equipment and conveyors.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control systems in industrial settings.
• Knowledge of PLCs and process automation across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain corrugator machinery and conveyors to run smoothly.
• Troubleshoot high-speed machinery and repair electrical systems.
• Design and troubleshoot PLC-based automation for manufacturing equipment.
• Integrate HMI, SCADA, VFDs and networks into machine control systems.
• Perform commissioning, startup, testing, and validation.
• Read schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Configure Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, and ProfNet protocols.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, control, and automation issues.
• Implement safety systems and machine guarding.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams; provide documentation.
