Job summary

BD is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Sandy, Utah to maintain, fix, repair, and improve automated production equipment to meet safety, quality, and uptime goals. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with changeovers while reading blueprints and collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime.

On-site role with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two+ years in industrial/manufacturing maintenance or related field.
• Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Experience fixing automated equipment, sensors, conveyors, and production machinery.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and follow technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Solve issues and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems on automated manufacturing equipment.
• Perform maintenance and complete maintenance documentation.
• Repair and replace conveyors, belts, pneumatic valves, filters, sensors, and other production equipment components.
• Perform equipment alignments and support production changeovers.
• Tackle vision inspection systems and automated equipment controls.
• Coordinate fabrication of replacement parts and tooling with the Machine Shop.
• Mentor maintenance backup personnel and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work independently or as part of a team while maintaining compliance with safety and quality requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
