Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to sustain and repair automated food-manufacturing equipment on a fast-paced Atlanta production floor.

You will troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems, perform preventive/predictive maintenance, and support automation and PLC-controlled machinery. The role includes installing new lines and ensuring GMP/HACCP compliance, with shifts or on-call as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Maintenance.
• Experience in food manufacturing or automated production environments (preferred).
• Knowledge of food-grade materials and lubrication.
• Willingness to work shifts or on-call.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair automated equipment (mixers, ovens, conveyors, proofers, slicers, packaging machines).
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems (gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, pneumatics, hydraulics).
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Support automation systems alongside electrical/PLC technicians.
• Install and commission new machinery or production lines.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
• Minimize production stoppages in a high-volume, continuous operation.
