Job summary

Columbus McKinnon is seeking a Part-Time Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support project-based work and ongoing plant operations. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying electrical and mechanical equipment, including automated machinery, conveyors, and controls.

The position requires reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals, with responsibilities extending to preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and collaboration with maintenance

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school, or one-year related experience and/or training in electronics/electrical/mechanical maintenance.
• Electrical licenses a plus, not a must.
• Must be able to work alone or as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electrical and mechanical equipment including automated machinery, conveyors, and related systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment and components such as transformers, motors, relays, switches, sensors, and wiring.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical drawings.
• Operate PLC- and CNC-controlled equipment to test for malfunctions and verify repairs.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and communicate project status to supervision.
