Job summary

Nidec Defense Group in the United States seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain high-speed automated production machinery, including PLCs, HMIs, motion control, VFDs, servo motors, and vision systems.

You will lead troubleshooting, read blueprints and electrical schematics, support preventative maintenance programs, train operators on PM tasks, and help manage spare parts while documenting all changes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in maintenance of automated assembly equipment.
• Read/interpret blueprints and manuals.
• Strong PLC diagnostics and programming skills.
• Ability to train operators on PM duties.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, diagnose, and repair machine problems with engineering.
• Read/interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Support preventative maintenance programs.
• Train operators on simple PM tasks.
• Maintain spare parts inventory.
• Document procedures and downtime accurately.
• Use diagnostic tools and measurement devices (voltmeters, calipers, micrometers, scopes).
• Support the company’s quality system and continuous improvement efforts.
