Job summary

Ferguson is hiring a DC Automation & Maintenance Technician to keep our building and automated systems running smoothly on 1st shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM). You will inspect, maintain, and optimize conveying systems and related equipment, while coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years in maintenance, and comfort with tools and automated systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years in a similar maintenance role.
• Comfortable using common tools to diagnose, repair, and resolve maintenance issues.
• Experience working with automated systems.

• Comfortable learning and navigating automated software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect premises, systems, equipment including Dematic and Packsize conveyors.
• Keep Dematic systems running at peak performance on your shift.
• Grow into the go-to expert on our systems and help find ways to run them more efficiently.
• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems—plumbing, electrical, generator, HVAC, appliances, and more.
• Schedule and maintain regular testing for fire and life-safety systems.
• Keep the building looking sharp inside and out—touch-up painting, cleaning, lighting.
• Coordinate contractors and manage vendor relationships for services.
• Maintain records on equipment and building systems.
• Maintain, service, clean, and properly store tools and equipment.
• Follow health and safety regulations and use PPE.
