Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a DC Automation & Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) to keep building systems, equipment, and automated conveyors in top condition. You’ll perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fire/life-safety systems while coordinating with contractors and maintaining accurate records.

You’ll join a large, nationwide team committed to safety, quality, and service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Comfortable using common tools to diagnose, repair, and resolve maintenance issues.
• Experience working with automated systems.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, inclusive environment.
• Strong attention to detail, with integrity and professionalism.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of premises, systems, equipment, and conveyance systems.
• Keep Dematic conveying systems running at peak performance on your shift.
• Grow into the go-to expert on our systems and help run them more efficiently.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on building systems including plumbing, electrical, generator, HVAC, appliances.
• Schedule and maintain testing for fire and life-safety systems and detectors.
• Coordinate contractors when a job requires professional repair.
• Maintain records on equipment and building systems.
• Follow health and safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
