Job summary

KIK Consumer Products in Salem, VA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 3 to keep manufacturing equipment running smoothly on 1st shift, 6:00am–4:30pm, Monday–Thursday with overtime as needed.

The role focuses on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated systems, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and motor controls to support safe, reliable production in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical/Industrial automation.
• 2+ years in industrial/manufacturing as a Controls/Electrical Technician.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming skills with common vendors.
• Experience with HMIs, VFDs, SCADA, and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain control systems including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and motor controllers.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Program and modify PLC/HMI code as needed for operations.
• Read electrical schematics and support safety-compliant installations.
