A leading logistics company is seeking an Automation Maintenance Lead for their Whitestown, Indiana facility. The role involves troubleshooting and maintaining automation systems, ensuring efficient warehouse operations. Candidates must have significant experience in maintenance and repair of automation equipment and high voltage systems, along with problem-solving capabilities. Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical certification in a related field or 5 years of relevant experience.
• Five years of experience in maintenance and repair of warehouse automation equipment.
• Two years of experience with PLCs for troubleshooting.
• Five years of performing maintenance on high voltage equipment.
• One year experience with WES for system communication.
• Knowledge of operation of MHE.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause and failure analysis on major downtime events.
• Troubleshoot and repair warehouse automation systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance work orders.
• Utilize computerized maintenance management systems.
• Maintain spare parts inventories.
• Actively participate in safety and Lean programs.

• Vocational or Technical certification in related field or 5 years of relevant experience (in lieu of certification) required
• Five (5) years or more Maintenance repair and preventative maintenance on warehouse automation equipment required
• Two (2) years or more Experience with connecting to programable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting equipment issues. required
• Five (5) years or more Performing maintenance on high voltage (480v) equipemnt and AC/DC motors or components. required
• One (1) year or more Experience with using automation warehouse execution systems (WES) to ensure proper communicaton and messaging between WES and warehouse management systems (WMS). required
• Two (2) years or more Using machine level HMI screens or machine level control systems to diagnose machine faults and validate inputs and outputs from the field back to the PLCs required
• Knowledge of 480 volts and pneumatic equipment expert required
• Must have working knowledge of computer based equipment maintenance and parts inventory systems. expert required
• Demonstrated independent problem-solving capability. expert required
• Ability to use PLC and HMI Programming software to add form and function to an established program, Allen Bradley, Ignition, and Wonderware preferred. expert required
• Understand 24VDC Control systems, photoelectric & proximity sensors expert required
• Experience withprogramming/troubleshootingServo and Stepper motors and related software expert required
• Ability to troubleshoot/program Bar Code Scanners and other Vision Systems, Specifically Cognex, Datalogic, Keyence, etc expert required
• Warehouse Maintenance safety procedures to include put not limited to: Lock Out Tag Out, Fall Restraint, and Forklift/MHE Operational Safety expert required
• Knowledge of operating MHE to include by not limited to: Forklift, Scissor Lift, Boom Lift, etc. expert required
• Ability to work independently in a safe manner including working at heights.
• Demonstrated development/training of Automation Techs within department.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause and failure analysis on major equipment downtime events with site engineering and management and implement corr3ective actions to prevent reoccurrence
• Troubleshoot and repair warehouse automation systems to include conveyor systems, auto storage and retrieval systems, auto guided vehicles, and other electrical and control systems in the facility
• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance work orders as assigned
• Utilizes the computerized maintenance management systems to their fullest potential as a tool to keep the department organized and as a communication tool to the plant and corporate management
• Maintain and ensure spare parts inventories and/or consignment inventories are being maintained consistent with procedures
• Actively participate in safety and Lean programs; support the Ryder culture
• Ensure a clean and organized maintenance area. Facility always be tour ready
• Participate in the continual development and improvement of maintenance policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures for the facility
• Performs other duties as assigned.
