Job summary

Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Lab Assistant - Automation for our Austin, TX facility. This full-time, first-shift role supports automated workflow, specimen processing, and routine instrumentation operation in a fast-paced clinical lab environment.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and strong reading, writing, and problem-solving skills. Prior healthcare or production experience is helpful, with training provided on lab systems and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in healthcare, manufacturing, or similar fast-paced environments preferred.
• Strong reading, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure specimens are properly processed, prepared, routed, and stored.
• Operate and learn equipment and laboratory instrumentation, including automated systems.
• Follow procedures and quality standards to ensure accurate processing and workflow efficiency.
• Maintain safety and PPE standards when working with biological materials.
• Assist with problem resolution and process improvements as needed.
