Job summary

RELCO in Willmar, Minnesota, is seeking an Automation Intern to gain hands-on experience in automation and manufacturing. This internship provides opportunities to learn drawing interpretation, panel assembly, and coding basics while supporting the Automation team.

You will work Monday through Friday, 45 hours per week, with supervision from the Automation Engineer Supervisor, and you will assist in quotes, wiring, and programming tasks while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Enrolled in college/university for automation related curriculum.
• Experience: Knowledge of power tools.

Responsibilities

• Advises sales needed/missing information to provide an accurate quote.
• Interacts with customer/vendor to gather information required to do an accurate quote.
• Read electrical drawings & interpret devices needing controls.
• Order panel component parts & account for lead time.
• Program networks that support IO in panel(s).
• Assist in training operators and answer questions.
