Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. in Livermore, California seeks an Automation Inspection Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, and sustain automated inspection solutions for probe feature inspection, storage, and handling processes.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Product Engineering, and Wafer Engineering to drive automation initiatives, support NPI, and improve yield, quality, productivity, and cycle time through data-driven decisions and robust process controls.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work
Experience integrating automated inspection solutions in semiconductor manufacturing

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and sustain automated inspection solutions for probe feature inspection
Design, optimize, and sustain automated probe storage and handling processes
Support elimination of manual back-end inspection through automation
Provide engineering support for automated probe insertion equipment and qualification
Develop and optimize processes to improve yield, quality, productivity, and efficiency
Establish robust process controls using SPC and data-driven decision making
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy automation through NPI
Train technicians on new equipment, systems, and best practices
Lead continuous improvement projects focused on automation and cost reduction
