Job summary

McMaster-Carr is seeking a maintenance technician to support our distribution center and offices. You’ll apply advanced technical expertise to program, configure, integrate, diagnose, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and automated systems that keep operations running, including PLCs, HMIs, BMS, conveyors, pumps, and HVAC.

You’ll work second-shift and overnight with flexible hours as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• PLCs and HMIs programming and troubleshooting; interpret logic and inputs/outputs, diagnose faults, use HMIs to resolve issues
• Integrate and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS) with new equipment
• Maintain conveyors, pumps, pneumatics and hydraulics; diagnose gear and belt drives
• Read electrical prints; use multimeter for troubleshooting electrical faults
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and related electrical controls
