Job summary

McMaster-Carr is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to support our distribution center and office facilities. You will program, configure, diagnose, maintain, and improve PLCs, HMIs, BMS, pumps, hydraulics, and HVAC systems to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires 5+ years of maintenance experience, strong mechanical and electrical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot using a multimeter. Experience with VFDs and vehicle maintenance is a plus.

Qualifications

5+ years of maintenance experience
Advanced proficiency with PLCs and HMIs, including programming and troubleshooting
Proficiency with Building Management Systems (BMS)
Experience with hand tools and diagnosis of gear and belt drive systems
Familiarity with centrifugal pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ability to read electrical prints and troubleshoot with a multimeter
Experience diagnosing VFDs
Basic vehicle maintenance and repair knowledge
MS Office (Outlook, Excel)

Responsibilities

Maintain, configure, diagnose, and improve mechanical, electrical, and automated systems in the distribution center and office facilities
Support building management and packaging automation equipment as needed
