Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Durham, NC to perform preventative and specialized maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. You’ll work with plant personnel to improve equipment performance and ensure safe, cost-effective operation of wastewater systems and power plant equipment.

You will collaborate with management to document repairs using a PM program, diagnose and repair automation and control systems, and maintain safety records and training.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent; additional training in plumbing, electrical, steam, controls, PLC, welding, and mechanical systems preferred.
• Boiler operator license (some states) and wastewater certification (some states) are specialized credentials.
• Experience: 2+ years in industrial maintenance.
• Familiarity with electric schematics and low voltage troubleshooting is important.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager, Production Management team, and other operational partners to support facility operations.
• Use a computerized Preventive Maintenance (PM) program daily to document repairs, complete maintenance activities, and respond promptly to equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with emphasis on automation and control systems.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and operational requirements by completing safety training and documentation, supporting wastewater compliance, and keeping computerized maintenance records.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and infrastructure to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
