Job summary

Insight Global is looking for an experienced Implementation Engineer (Automation Project Manager) to oversee projects from concept through installation and customer buyoff at automotive manufacturing sites.

This role requires leading cross-functional teams, coordinating with suppliers, and managing schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables to ensure successful execution of manufacturing and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical/industrial/manufacturing engineering or related field.
Experience managing automation and capital equipment projects in automotive/industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of automation systems, body-in-white, robotics integration, and procurement.

Responsibilities

Lead automation and tooling programs from kick-off to customer acceptance.
Manage scope, budget, schedule, quality objectives, and risks.
Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, suppliers, and customers.
Develop schedules, cost forecasts, and status reports for leadership.
Support procurement for automation equipment and services.
Drive supplier negotiations, RFQs, and vendor strategies.
Monitor financial performance, invoicing milestones, and margins.
Lead customer communications on status, scope changes, and issues.
Support installation at customer facilities and optimize production objectives.
Drive continuous improvement in execution and supply chain efficiency.
