Job summary

SoftPathTechnologies is seeking an Automation HIL Engineer in Dearborn, MI for onsite work. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python, and build test suites with pytest for integration and functional testing.

You will also integrate AI/LLM-based tools to accelerate test generation, log analysis, and defect triage while collaborating with automotive domain teams to define requirements and analyze results to resolve defects.

Qualifications

Job description

Job Title - Automation HIL Engineer

Location - Dearborn, MI (onsite)

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Python

Build and execute test suites using pytest or similar frameworks for integration and functional testing

Integrate AI/LLM-based tools to accelerate test case generation, log analysis, defect triage, or code review

Collaborate with automotive domain teams (ADAS, infotainment etc.) to understand test requirements

Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work with engineering and lab teams to resolve defects

Maintain test documentation, coverage reports, and traceability matrices

Automation HIL Engineer Responsibilities -

Understanding of Vehicle Architectures of Conventional, EV and Hybrid Powertrain System and corresponding ECU's.

Understand Vehicle features and ability to perform Manual testing and Automation Scripts

Testing Experience in DSPACE HIL environment, Automation script development using ECU test
